**Program Assistant - Early Years Services**:
DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society Surrey, BC
Working under the direction of the Manager of Early Years Services the Program Assistant is responsible for all administrative duties related to supporting Early Years Services program. This position provides administrative assistant support to program, operations, communications, and Administration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide clerical support including program correspondence, minute taking, reports and other data entry task.
- Compile and maintain a resource inventory list of DIVERSEcity and community-based programs/services suitable to the needs of immigrant and refugee families and individuals
- Assist with internal and external program promotion
- Call clients to complete follow-ups and surveys
- Compile and organize program statistics, files and resource materials
- Support the administration of program’s resources
- Promotes public awareness of and support for the program using promotional materials, conducting marketing campaigns, and attending community events.
- Researches and compiles a comprehensive database of community resources networks.
- Provides input for program capacity building.
- Completes all other related tasks as assigned by the Manager.
- Post-secondary training in Office Administration.
- Minimum 2-years’ experience in an office environment
- Strong computer and internet skills, including entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams), iCare and other databases
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in one of the contract languages an asset;
- Professional telephone manners and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 50 WPM, typing speed
- Experience working in funded programs and non-profit, preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic group environment
- Knowledge of or experience in needs of immigrant and refugee children would be an asset.
