Materials Coordinator

As a Material Coordinator, you ensure the têxtile team runs smoothly by serving as highly organized support to all team members in administrative tasks, that bridge the material developers’ work to the cross functional business needs. The Raw Materials Development Team commercializes seasonal performance têxtiles and trims that exceeds the industry standard. We create toolbox palettes for each product category, made of innovative materials that can ultimately become brand icons for many years to come. Our success comes from our knowledge, our standards of excellence and delivering on-time material solutions, alongside our supply chain partners.
**If you were in the Materials Coordinator role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:
- Ensuring data integrity across all systems including Centric PLM, material trackers, and libraries
- Preparing seasonal material validation tech packs for handoff to Quality team ensuring calendar deadlines are met
- Scheduling cross functional and supplier meetings
- Supporting with internal or external testing and evaluating têxtiles using Arc'teryx custom and industry standard lab testing, including assisting with management of any fabric-specific end use field testing programs
- Overhauling historical data in the Product Line Management system (Centric) to current and accurate fabric specs, test reports, NMF and status for material and trim developments
- Preparing digital and physical material boards for seasonal stage gate reviews
- Coordinating reporting and metrics for the RMD manager
- Maintaining lab equipment maintenance schedules

- Effectively contributing to cross functional discussions with designers, merchants and suppliers to make the best decisions for the brand
**Are you our next Materials Coordinator?**:
- You have 1+ years of apparel/equipment industry experience related to trims and/or materials
- You have a degree or diploma in Materials Science, Textile Technology, Product or Textile Design or equivalent industry experience
- You have a passion for data engineering and organization
- You have developed skills in digital data programs such as Microsoft Excel and cloud-based information
- You have an interest and general understanding of têxtile manufacturing
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PLM systems
- You have the physical ability to handle small boxes and rolls of fabric, etc.
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

$59,000 - $74,000 a year
- A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$59,000 - CAD$74,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
