Raw Material Coordinator

**THE ROLE**
The Raw Material Co-Ordinator is responsible to support the execution of raw materials within the MEC Label organization. Working closely with the Raw Material Specialist, this role will ensure the production of the raw materials are ordered, produced, and delivered on time. Collaborate with finished goods vendors, consolidate the raw materials, and provide forecast to the raw material vendor. Follow up on the raw material testing with the mills and ensure all materials meet MEC testing standards.
- Coordinate with finished goods vendor to ensure raw materials orders are placed and shipped on time.
- Consolidate RM ordering deadlines with RM vendors, ensuring MCQ and MOQ are met.
- Provide seasonal forecast to the raw material suppliers.
- Review and suggest material consolidation across styles to achieve material MOQ.
- Negotiate and minimize material surcharges with the RM vendor.
- Provide leadership with a seasonal report on RM surcharges to inform whether we hold mill liability.
- Lead the RM bulk material process and keep material file updated.
- Attend to RM material quality issues with the finished good vendors.
- Ensure all RM vendors achieve the expected ex-mill date.
- Keep Centric PLM system up to date with all RM tests and other documents.
**THE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in Business or related discipline, or equivalent relevant apparel industry experience
- 2-3 years’ experience in apparel business.
- Strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively with internal and external stakeholder of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Good commercial sense, analysis skill, passionate about raw materials.
- Experience in problem solving and multi-tasking with impeccable integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced fluid environment
- Proficient in Excel. Experience with Centric PLM system would be a bonus.
- Fluent in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
