**Position Overview / Scope of Responsibilities**:
The primary focus of Contract Sales Support is to assist Contract Sales by supporting the sales team with administrative duties; and help obtain and retain customers by ensuring the department is running smoothly while addressing customer or sales team needs.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Support Contract Sales team by completing and processing orders.
- Collaborate effectively with the sales team by creating and issuing sales tracking documentation and providing all necessary data upon request.
- Keep sales team informed of any issues with delivery or product delays.
- Exhibit a positive, friendly, helpful attitude with customers by developing professional relationships.
- Ensure the sales team is on track to meet goals and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales team, and management to exceed all client sales and service expectations.
- Comply with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Establish active communication and engagement with all other departments to help out where necessary.
- Communicate with Accounts Receivable to resolve accounts that have delayed payments due to sales-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Education**:

- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity in either sales support, or administration related to the lumber and / or the building industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, marketing or finance is considered an asset.
- Estimating experience of residential construction is considered an asset.
- Analytical, excellent problem-solving skills and proficient computer skills.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail is necessary as well as being a people person with excellent customer service knowledge.
- Committed to completion of time sensitive tasks and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.
- Self starter with the ability to stay late when required and to keep fully engaged throughout the day.
- Demonstrated ability to assist sales teams with any additional work as needed with a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Work in a setting with a high sense of urgency and drive; able to set priorities and deliver results within deadlines and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

**Working Conditions**:

- Sitting for long periods of time, with exposure to noise and high pace activity
- Be able to walk out into the yard or to other departments to source information
- Must have flexible schedule with ability to work some Saturdays and be able to work overtime when needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and walk 10 feet. i.e., moving storage boxes for research purposes Ability to stand and/or sit for an hour, or more, at a time.

**Compensation**:

- Benefits and RRSP match after 3 months’ probation is successfully completed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
