Position Summary:
Technical Sales Coordinators are key roles in our Inside Sales teams for Pharma Machines and Aftermarket. These customer-facing roles will correspond with our global customers and channel partners, preparing quotations, answering technical questions, and providing status updates on customer orders. TSC’s also work closely with field service, engineering and operations regarding order status and other key deliverables.
Reporting to the Manager - MF & Pharma Aftermarket Customer Service, your responsibilities will include:
Essential Functions:
- Fielding inquiries and providing responsive service support to customers and channel partners
- Troubleshooting machine issues and preparing technical solutions
- Liaise between Field Service and Engineering teams for facilitation of project success, interpret technical drawings and bills of materials to identify parts and assemblies
- Preparing detailed proposals/quotes for equipment, critical replacement parts and/or service requirements
- Reviewing purchase orders and working closely with order entry to process in a timely manner
- Coordinating with manufacturing operations & logistics teams to execute on customer orders
- Facilitating advanced or customized requests with engineering teams to overserve key customers
- Addressing warranty claims and coordinating Return Materials Authorizations (RMA’s)
- Opportunities to project manage the commercial side of complex machine refurbishments
- EDUCATION_
- Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience is required.
- A technical post-secondary or equivalent degree is preferred.
- EXPERIENCE_
- 2-4 years of related experience with a proven customer service track record in technical sales environment
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
- COMPETENCIES_
- A Customer Obsession Mindset and passion for technical sales is required.
- Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment is required.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals, communicate technically with customers, field service, maintenance staff, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems strongly desired. Infor Visual Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of industrial equipment, previous experience with a manufacturing ERP system and basic ability to read/interpret engineering drawings would be great assets to accelerate onboarding.
