**JOB RESPONSIBILITY**

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct finishing inspections daily and refer to the finishing details to ensure things are built according to plan and specification.
- As needed, within the units, performing suite repairs as needed, executing general finished carpentry duties, interpreting blueprints and specifications, measuring, and cutting materials, installing windows and doors
- To review the contract drawings and specifications and assist in making sure the building is framed and built in accordance with these documents.
- Assist with creating and implementing quality control schedules to assist in day-to-day monitoring of site activities.
- Providing instructions to trades and laborers, maintaining a clean and safe workplace, and carrying out other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist the Site Superintendent with the onsite supervision, administrative and technical direction on construction project sites and perform miscellaneous labour tasks such as back framing, drywall repair, painting, caulking etc. at the Site Superintendent’s direction.
- Provide people leadership through establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with field staff and subcontractors to promote positive morale.
- Effectively use the deficiency management software to identify, load, and manage the deficiencies. Notify and coordinate with related trades to fix their own deficiencies.
- Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues; works collaboratively with Project Manager and Site Superintendent to resolve issues.
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work.
- Maintain an organized job site, including the construction office.
- Maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems.
- Knowledge of project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Perform and maintain construction inspections and schedules.
- Produce deficiency reports and follow up with Site Superintendent and related trades.
- Analyze and ensure the execution of the work is being performed up to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot product issues and product installation procedures.
- Maintain professional work standards and behavioral expectations.
- Uphold the job-related safety egulations, policies and procedures.
- Able to handle small drywall patching, sanding, and painting.
- Must be capable of using small tools.
- Must be able to install Caulking/Silicone
- Able to provide detailing cleaning.
- Provide suite repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Capable of working off lists completing items.
- Must have an eye for details.
- Performs daily site reviews of all work completed and ensure is per drawings and specifications.
- Maintains a high quality of workmanship and accountability of sub-contractors and contractors.
- Advise Site Superintendent and Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems.
- Ensure all certificates and final inspections have been obtained prior to project close out.
- If needed, self-perform site labour, machine operation, carpentry, flagging, traffic control, safety maintenance and other work that may be assigned by Site Superintendent whenever and wherever as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Experience and Education**
- Minimum 5 years in multifamily construction (wood-frame preferred)
- Trade background in carpentry and/or Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset.
- Drywall, painting and finishing carpentry experience, preferably in multi-residential construction
- Strong eye for detail, be able to multi-task and stay organized.
- Able to work under mínimal supervision.
- Must own PPE

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: From $65,000.00 per year
