Our client, a well established and busy law firm located in Richmond Hill has an opening for a **Collections Clerk**. This is a full time permanent role.

**Collections Clerk**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performs all debt collection duties in collaboration with the recovery team
- Identifies strategies/solutions when dealing with challenging/ delinquent accounts
- Negotiates settlement agreements on behalf of large organizations
- Answers phone calls and follows-up on inquiries regarding files assigned by the Supervisor
- **1-3 years experience working in a collections role**:

- **Collection agency experience is an absolute must in order to be considered for this position**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- A calm but professional demeanour for dealing with clients regarding their accounts
- Ability to accurately listen, understand and respond appropriately
- Perseverance to maintain pressure for payment upon difficult accounts
- Detail oriented with strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work and act independently using good judgment when assessing difficult situations
- Ability to work with large institutional clients an asset
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks would be considered an asset, training will be provided
- Legally able to work in Canada

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per month
