- Leads the Variations process in full compliance with the Project Agreement requirements including negotiations with the contractor
- Coordinates with the broader project team to obtain required input into Variation process
- Reports to management on the Variations’ progress and budget utilization
- Coordinates the evaluation of Variations and associated costs estimates.
- Produces Variations and change control documentation suitable for management approval
- Able to assess and validate contractor’s payment requests
- Checks own work, coordinates work with related disciplines.
- Takes responsibility for their portion of the discipline’s scope, schedule and budget.
- Ability to support work for/in other offices (including Temporary Duty-TDY).
- Works in coordination with the commercial team to communicate intermediate deadlines and documentation requirements.
- Interacts with Design Managers and Discipline Leads for definition of Variation scope and resolution of design comments.
- Develops awareness of the overall project’s scope, schedule and budget.

**Here’s what you’ll need**:

- BS or MS graduate of an engineering discipline with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with AFP project delivery model
- Experience in transit infrastructure construction an asset
- Experience in contracts management
- Commercially astute
- Effectively and positively influence Client and Stakeholder team members to ensure compliance with the variation and the payment mechanism processes as set out in the Project Agreement
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
