The National Accounts, Selling Account Executive is responsible for a portfolio of Group Benefits clients and sales results. This is a hybrid role involving both account management of an existing block of clients and business development. For the existing block, you are responsible for client retention, financial management and introducing solutions that help our clients achieve their business, employment and financial goals. There are annual retention, execution and profitability targets for this role, in addition to a new business development target. Sales and client relationship management take place through the National Consulting firms.

**What will you do?**
- Main Sun Life contact responsible for the overall service and relationship of clients and consultant relationships
- Responsible for the retention and profitability of an assigned block of business
- Present and negotiate annual renewal reviews
- Ensure client and consultant solutions are delivered through value-added services and products
- Manage internal partners to properly respond to new business requests for proposals, including preparation and delivery of new business presentations

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Extensive experience in group insurance (sales, underwriting or consulting) is required
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills are required
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal partners
- Experience working with large, complex clients
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Client centric with the ability to be attentive and responsive to changing needs
- Self-starter and results oriented with superior problem solving and negotiation skills
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate to advance Excel skills are required (including pivot tables, VLookUps, etc.)

**Notes/unique requirements**:

- Comfort with virtual sales and service environment (e.g., proficiency with Zoom and other related virtual software) is key
- Valid driver's license and ongoing access to a vehicle is required
- Small amount of travel may be required with occasional overnight travel
