**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide HR leadership, consultation and support to the site leadership team, line managers and employees
- Translate and implement globally defined HR strategies into locally applicable action plans
- Develop the change management strategy at site(s) to support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives
- Establish HR operational plan aligned to the site business priorities and implement accordingly
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve employee engagement and site efficiency
- Establish and drive organization and talent development actions to ensure strong and robust pipeline of talent exists to fill both evolving local and global site staffing needs
- Monitor HR effectiveness by tracking & reporting key measures; take corrective action as needed
- Live the cultural beliefs with the flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Key requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Organizational Development preferred
- Highly experienced as an HR generalist with responsibility as a member of senior leadership, preferably in a BioTech/Pharma manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws and moderate knowledge of US labor laws
- Adherence to cGMPs is required and follow job safety procedures;
- Fosters a culture that embraces errors as a source of innovation
- Deliberately uses a structured approach to evaluate work experiences and applies learnings to new situations
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and have strong attention to detail
- Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong knowledge of HRIS and Recruitment Software in a high volume setting
- Able to conduct complex investigations, assess and recommend employee development plan
- Team player with exceptional customer service skills, integrity and ability to interact with all levels of personnel
- Open to and actively seek out feedback on performance and translates that feedback into action
