**SCOPE**
Reporting directly to the Manager, Academic Programs and Development, and supporting the Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Development of the School Graduate Studies, the incumbent provides professional expertise in the successful coordination of the GradProSkills program, in collaboration with the Manager of Academic Programs and Development, as well as the training and selection of the Concordia Public Scholars.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate the daily operational needs of GradProSkills workshops in collaboration with the Manager, Administrative Assistant, partners and graduate student employees.
- Plan and coordinate recurring and ad-hoc events for the Academic Programs and Development unit (ex. Thesis Boost; 3-Minute Thesis), including: define the event learning outcomes and program; book speakers, staff, space, and equipment; oversee budgets and process expenses, and support the communications plan.
- Plan and implement the training plan and coordinate the selection process for the Concordia Public Scholars Program. Support Public Scholars related administrative tasks as required.
- Recommend staffing requirements for program management and delivery. Hire, train, schedule, assign work, monitor and evaluate casual staff and volunteers. Provide casual staff and volunteers with clear guidelines, appropriate orientation and training. Mentor casual staff and volunteers with the proper technical and personal abilities to help further the program’s goals. Coordinate and direct casual staff and volunteers.
- Advise the design and delivery of the unit’s graduate professional development training programs to ensure learning objectives are achieved in the target audience.
- Collaborate with the Developer, Graduate Academic Programs to identify discipline specific graduate professional skills development needs.
- Monitor feedback from students, faculty and partners to identify areas for improvement in GradProSkills and the Public Scholars programs. Monitor the regional and national graduate professional development landscape. Advise the Manager and Associate Dean on best practices in graduate professional development; assess programming against learning outcomes; and provide recommendations for program improvements.
- Proactively identify community outreach opportunities and represent GradProSkills at activities, including: present to students, staff and faculty; participate in interdepartmental meetings and community events; and internal committees.
- Perform other duties in support of the unit.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a field pertinent to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of related work experience in project coordination and event management.
- Master’s degree is an asset.
- Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English in order to provide university members with detailed information, write reports and create presentations. Basic knowledge (Level 3) spoken French to communicate with external stakeholders.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, to create and update documents, reports and presentations. Good working knowledge of Moodle and Zoom for digital classroom, webinar and meeting hosting.
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and influencing skills
- Expertise in instructional design, adult education and mentorship, with experience in graduate student development
- Knowledge of student information systems.
- Proven ability to coordinate projects, work within strict deadlines and work under-pressure, particularly in the context of event planning and implementation
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with external partners and all members of the Concordia community (faculty, staff and students).
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and take a leadership role within a team.
