Facilities Planning Coordinator (Term)

Rideau Community Hub

(formerly Rideau High School)

**Location**: 815 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa

**Nature of Position**: Full-time (100%), Term to August 31, 2023

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

**Salary range**: $69,358 to $89,497 (ESP, Level 10, 12 months per year)

Working under the general direction of the Facilities Planning Officer, the Facilities Planning Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day management and use of the Rideau Community Hub (located at the former Rideau High School), including access and security, acting as liaison between community agencies on site; preparing lease agreements and coordinating use of space; arranging for repairs and maintenance to the building. Assisting with leases, permits and reciprocal agreements within the District.

Community college or university degree in Business Administration or related field of study; and 5 years of work experience in property management.

Sound knowledge of property management principles and building systems

Working knowledge of relevant Board policies and procedures, as well as an understanding of leasing (licensing) and basic financial processes.

Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to interact with a variety of people/clients, respond to inquiries/requests, provide information/explanation and clarification. Ability to use tact, diplomacy and discretion.

Must demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community agencies who support marginalized communities, and members of the communities they serve.

Experience in the preparation of complex documents; and analyzing and compiling information and data using excel spreadsheets.

Experience in managing the day-to-day operation of the building, including resolving complaints and problems.

Demonstrates sensitivity to diverse community groups and issues.
