**Job Title**: Coordinator: IT

**Overall Purpose**: Under the direction of the Director: Central Services ,the Coordinator: IT is responsible for the following: for supporting the Ottawa Humane Society information technology infrastructure, and providing IT support services

**Professional Responsibilities**
- Provide IT support to OHS staff, including the management team and board of directors
- Set up, monitor and maintain computers, office machinery, network, and servers
- Administration and maintenance of telephone and key card security access system
- Troubleshoot and triage computer and network failures and serve as liaison with external consultants
- Identify computer and network needs and assist with the purchase and installation of approved equipment and software
- Support the overall security system and integrity of OHS systems
- Maintain OHS electronic files, records, and archives and ensure that all electronic files are appropriately backed up
- Assist with other projects and tasks as required
- Assist in the development of IT procedures and policies
- Support the activities of coworkers, volunteers, students and work placements and provide orientation and training as required
- Be thoroughly familiar with, and ensure adherence to, pertinent legislation, regulations, guidelines, OHS policies, procedures and collective agreement
- Produce and maintain accurate reports and records and files
- Participate in supervision, evaluation, training, and other meetings as required
- Participate in the identification and evaluation of OHS program goals and objectives
- Participate in professional development opportunities
- Represent OHS in a Professional manner
- Participate in public relations and promotional activities as required
- May be required to assume some of the responsibilities of the Director: Central Services

**Qualifications**
- A diploma or certificate in computer information systems, IT support, network administration or significant relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in information technology, database management, computer, and network support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional working proficiency in spoken and written English is required

**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**
- Employment is conditional upon maintaining a valid driver’s license
- Employment is conditional upon the ability to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks safely
- Employee may be required to be available to respond to after-house emergencies
- Employee may be required to work evening, holiday and weekend shifts
- Employment is conditional upon maintaining confidentiality of OHS information
- Employment is conditional upon the ability to work safely around all species of animals

**Salary**: $23.78-$28.94 per hour
