Program Coordinator

Miyoskamin is an innovative center and second-stage housing complex that provides comprehensive health care, social services, and access to justice for Indigenous women, youth, and families. We are currently looking for a part time Program Coordinator to coordinate and support on site delivery of workshops and resources to Miyoskamin participants.

The part time Program Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of various programs and events at Miyoskamin. Under the supervision of the
Director of Miyoskamin and collaboratively with the Empowerment Worker, this individual will ensure that programming is delivered consistently and in line with participant’s healing plans.

**POSITION TITLE**:Program Coordinator

**TYPE OF POSITION**:Part Time with later Full Time possibility

**LOCATION**:757 rue des Seigneurs, Montréal, Qc, H3J 1Y2

**SALARY**:$27/hour

**START DATE**:January 2024

**PROBATION**:Three (3) month probation period, after which an evaluation will be conducted.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist in the planning and organization of programs, workshops, and events.
- Coordinate logístical aspects of programs, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and materials preparation.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, record keeping, and communication with program participants.
- Assist in the development and distribution of promotional materials for programs and events.
- Be on site to welcome and support program participants and facilitators, addressing their inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas for new programs and initiatives.
- Assist with program evaluations and feedback collection to measure the effectiveness of programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Miyoskamin
- Attending Miyoskamin case management meetings

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; CEGEP coursework or degree in a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in French and English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in event planning, program coordination, or a related field is desirable but not required.
- Indigenous applicants will be given priority_

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
