Human Resources Coordinator

- Assist with payroll and the calculation and balancing of entitlements according to prescribed guidelines.
- Assist with benefit sign up and administration
- Assist with the recruitment, selection and orientation process
- Provide assistance and guidance to employees as it relates to human relation issues
- Oversee the scheduling of training and maintain accurate record keeping
- Ensure employee information is received and inputted into the HRIS, payroll, training and scheduling software
- Support the Joint Health & Safety Committee ensuring that all documentation is prepared and filed to comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Serves as a role model to others by demonstrating a respectful and positive attitude
- Back-up for the HR Manager as well as the HR Assistant
**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management and/or Payroll Administration would be an assest.
- Previous experience in human resources and/or payroll would be an asset
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, Payroll systems, INFO:HR HRIS, HRdownloads and CARM Scheduling software would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills are required
- Proven ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
- Proven ability to be detail-conscious and able to manage multiple and competing tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently
- Strong leadership and development skills
- Police Check including Vulnerable Screening will be required at time of hire
- **Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum 2 doses)**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $25.35-$27.16 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
