The Daniels Corporation is actively searching for a **Generalist, People and Culture**. Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture and working closely with the VP, People and Culture, this role will focus on the People and Culture goals and initiatives. It is a highly engaging and fulfilling role that will help support the organization’s value of putting people first.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with internal community building
- Resolve basic employee questions and inquires based on ESA and company policies and procedures
- Assist the People and Culture (P&C) Manager and VP in advising managers and supervisors on legal compliance issues including Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code legislations
- Maintain a working knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Assisting the P&C team in creating new policies
- Revise templates, policies and procedures as needed
- Complete full cycle recruitment including assisting in creating job postings, interview questions, conducting interviews, reference checks and job offers
- Responsible for onboarding and offboarding process
- Responsible for administering the mentorship program
- Assist with the coordination of HR program and services as needed
- Organize, schedule, and manage Daniels team events and activities
- Facilitate training and set up training sessions with employees and managers
- Maintain organizational charts (i.e. new hires, title changes, departures etc.)
- Ensure strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee issues
- Responsible for supporting Daniels’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs and/or initiatives
- Maintain a working knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
- Research projects as needed and required
- Consolidate data and create reports
- Create presentations for the department
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Solid Microsoft Office computer skills
- A passion for people and a strong community-based outlook
- Solid time management and organizational skills with follow through
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team is essential
- Self-motivated, strong hands-on work ethic
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
