**About Us**:
The Centre for Education Research & Innovation (CERI) at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is a thriving education research community, a vibrant interdisciplinary axis for education research at Western University, a respected site for education research training in Canada, and an internationally recognized producer of new knowledge. CERI supports and stimulates education-related research and scholarship across Schulich.

**Responsibilities**:
The Administrative Assistant assists with coordinating the day to day operations of the Centre for Education Research & Innovation (CERI), including providing administrative support related to physical, financial, human and information resources in collaboration with the Director. The role manages busy calendars for multiple leaders, ensuring effective scheduling, and administers human resources and financials processes in accordance with all policies, procedures and timelines. The Administrative Assistant assists with the preparation and distribution of communications materials and correspondence to internal/external stakeholders, and assists with the planning and delivery of events, activities and programs for the centre.

**Qualifications**:

- Education:
- 2 year Community College Diploma in Business Administration
- Undergraduate degree is preferred
- Experience:
- 3 years’ experience providing administrative support for human resources and financial functions and providing customer service in an academic environment
- Experience within a Medical School or other research-intensive environment would be an asset
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage activities both for self and others effectively
- A strong record of teamwork with the motivation and ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with Schulich faculty, residents, fellows, graduate students, clients, peers, and external stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities with an excellent command of the English language
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
