JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operations of the Toro Group of Companies’ fleet of vehicles ensuring that they are properly maintained, serviced, and utilized to support our manufacturing operations.

None

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Health and Safety
- Work in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and regulations including using any equipment, protective devices or clothing as required;
- Report any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to promptly in line with Company process
- Take preventative measures to ensure the Health & Safety of Toro Group of Companies drivers.

Technical/Function
- Review status of Toro Group of Companies owned vehicles and make recommendations for equipment purchasing and/or replacement.
- Manage the sale and/or auction of older vehicles when due and the acquisition of newer models.
- Develop and report expenses and performance of fleet to senior management of the Toro Group of Companies.
- Develop an annual budget for the organizations fleet and services.
- Develop and execute strategic Fleet Compliance Plan amongst six independent organizations within the Toro Group of Companies.
- Oversee the registration of Toro Group of Companies owned vehicles and develop recurring inspection plan to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate the integration and adoption of various transportation software’s and programs for vehicles within the organization.
- Evaluate existing vendors (i.e., repair shops) and actively participate in the sourcing of new vendors and service providers based on organizational needs.
- Monitor the purchase and consumption of fuel and develop strategies to ensure transparency.
- Evaluate organizations parking needs and make recommendations for trailer parking and storage yards.
- Performs other duties as required by the needs of the business.

Internal/External Customer Service
- Works closely with internal and external clients and vendors.

Administration
- Prepare compliance and audit reports as needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of University degree or College diploma.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration (CVOR).
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G).

EXPERIENCE
- 5+ Years of Fleet Management and Transportation Experience.
- 5+ Years of experience directly managing AZ Drivers and Third-Party Carriers.

SKILLS
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership, problem solving, coaching, technical skills and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in lean methodology, quality, and process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical ability and detail orientation.
- Ability to influence others and effectively work in a team.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
