**How you will be Successful**
- Working with the VP of Operations, monitoring budgets to ensure that resources are utilized effectively, and operational needs and objectives are met.
- Act as the primary contact between the landlord / property manager
- Manage performance development, with direct reports (3) with particular emphasis on operational efficiency and collaboration.
- Administrative direct reports include: Office Manager and Administrative Assistant who collectively are accountable for reception, mailroom, office management, corporate travel, executive expense reconciliation, couriers, shredding services, catering orders, office supply and weekly food supplies.
- Other direct report: Training & Quality Specialist - who is responsible to ensure procedures are documented, updated and evaluated for operational efficiency on an ongoing basis. This will include managing technical training for our insurance team colleagues across all locations. This is managed through 1:1 and group training sessions as well as sourcing external training where required.
- Assists in the collection of accounts payables and participates in efforts to minimize A/P balances. (Ensure all required vendor invoices are submitted to Finance)
- Generate vendor / preferred supplier contacts and maintain relationships.
- Communicate with vendors regularly to ensure preferred pricing on services / office products.
- Create an environment where colleagues adhere to and understand property operating standards.
- Together with HR, ensure all Health & Safety compliance and regulatory standards are met. (Toronto Office specific)
- Complete consistent and regular office inspections to ensure for cleanliness. Report any issues related to janitorial services provided by the building.
- Develop and foster relationships with PLATFORM colleagues and understand the evolving changes to the office space and its functionality.
- Communicate to office personnel when changes occur (i.e. new suppliers, new protocols, changes to operational process)
- Act as an additional resource with respect to IT connectivity and assist/ train colleagues.
- Other duties and projects as required.

**Education, Experience, and Qualifications**
- Minimum of three (3) years of insurance/office or similar management experience and relevant post secondary education
- Occupational Health & Safety Certification
- Excellent leadership and communication skills; experience in managing a team of professionals, including employees and vendors.
- Industry designation - (RIBO) considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Be self-motivated, diplomatic, innovative, and able to accept challenges.
- Strong computer skills with a proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
