**Position summary**

Reporting to the Manager, Prospect Management & Research, the Advisor, Prospect Management leads the implementation of key initiatives to establish a robust and strategic prospect management program for Development at the University of Alberta. This position is designed to focus specifically on prospect management systems and activities, and complements the work of the existing prospect management & research team.

The Advisor, Prospect Management will support the Manager, Prospect Management & Research in developing and implementing prospect management processes and procedures to enhance the Development portfolio. The Advisor will monitor the expansion and evolution of the prospect base and facilitate movement of prospects through the gift cycle in support of faculty, unit, campaign, and institutional initiatives.

The Advisor is expected to contribute at a senior level to the analysis, evaluation, and assessment of issues related to portfolio and prospect management and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Development portfolio.

**Duties**
- Collaborates with the Manager, Prospect Management & Research to develop the prospect management program
- Implement & establish operations for portfolio health monitoring including regular portfolio reviews
- Implement and establish system for ongoing tracking of key prospect accounts and trends
- Supports pipeline monitoring and reporting
- Other duties as determined through the development of the program area

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor Degree required, Masters degree preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising support/ operations
- Excellent data analysis skills; able to review and monitor large amounts of information and provide strategic and actionable recommendations
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, networking, and relationship building skills
- Ability to collaborate and lead non-reporting teams to deliver joint outcomes
- Experience working independently, and providing leadership and coordination in a team environments
- Uses all verbal and written communication methods effectively; understands and considers the purpose of the communication, the target audience, and the level of impact needed when deciding delivery method
