This position will lead, develop and coordinate efforts that will result in a more fully integrated workforce in an assigned area. You will work closely with employers to develop relationships, advocate for Military, Veterans and other Public Safety Personnel who are transitioning their careers, and build capacity to address issues facing the Alberta labour market. This role has a split focus, with business development and business to business sales being approximately 75%, and job seeking client services approximately 25%.
**What will you do?**
**Business Development**
- Create long lasting partnerships with employers to enable multiple workforce development (placement) opportunities for clients
- Meets monthly employer engagement targets according to program needs to ensure consistent communication with existing relationships and building new relationships that meet our standard
- Follows up with existing employer contacts to gauge current success and future opportunities.
- Works with employers to solve workforce shortfalls by educating them on how to access, recruit and retain skilled labour outside the traditional labour pool.
- Understanding of current employment opportunities and labour market trends.
- Acts as a representative to address attitudinal barriers, works to remove stigmas attached to employment and Military, Veterans and other Public Safety Personnel, and provides education on accommodations.
- Represents Prospect at career fairs, trade shows and other events as required throughout Alberta.
- Participates in non-Prospect related events such as educational seminars and industry trade shows to remain current on labour market trends and hiring needs.
**Employment Placement**
- Assesses potential worksites for suitability through research centered around job availabilities and alignment with client skills, qualifications and goals
- Conduct job search on behalf of the Career Advisor and client that meets their needs and matches their qualifications; work in partnership with the employer wherever possible to explore workplace accommodations on a case-by-case basis including; modified work arrangements, implementation of assistive tools or technology, and coordination of client retention support services
- Discusses client preference and communication tools regarding disclosure and accommodation.
- Coordinates workforce development (placement) details such as hours of work, wages and benefits between clients and employers on an individualized, case-by-case basis
- Coordinates workforce development (placement) details with clients and other internal departments such as Career Advisors, Employment Retention Specialists, Peer Support partner organization, On-Site Counsellors, and Administration
- Provides ongoing communication with internal staff in regard to the status of clients and their service plans including revisions, updates, and completion
- Monitors client satisfaction on a regular basis; adapting service delivery where appropriate to meet client needs, to include coordination with the employer to safeguard workforce exposures
- Conduct client follow-ups once employed according to program requirements and offer guidance and support for the client and employer within their first 7-180 days of employment
**Administration/Other**
- Maintains accurate and up to date information in the CRM database and completes monthly client updates on job search progress, service delivery, on-the-job training plans, workforce exposure agreements, and expected next steps for accurate reporting, as required
- As needed, delivers orientation to program services (i.e., workshops, essential skills services, other self-directed and directed services) and refers to other or complimentary services within Prospect such as service coordination, integrated services, essential skill building, and workshops
- Complies with company policies/procedures, provincial, privacy and other job related legislation.

**What it Takes to Do This Job?**
- Post-secondary education is required
- 2+ years related business development and business to business sales experience is required
- 2+ years experience in job placement is preferred (an equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered)
