We help young and old, people changing industries, recent immigrants, veterans, people with disabilities, and everyday Albertans who feel that the job search process has become daunting. **What will you do?**
- You will be working with a group of clients who are diagnosed with a variety of different mental health barriers to develop or strengthen essential life and employment skills
- Using art as a medium, you will plan and facilitate workshops to develop the client’s employment skills
- Assist with workshops based on resume writing, interview skills, job targeting, time management, nutrition, etc.
- Actively seek out new partners in the arts and business communities for the purposes of developing new programs/activities, as well as supporting, fostering and maintaining existing relationships
- Provide leadership support to clients while they plan and facilitate art collaborations and host public art exhibitions
- Support the creation, progression, tracking and completion of goals for clients
- Maintain accurate and timely reports
- Work collaboratively within a team of creative professionals
- Develop marketing for public art exhibitions
**What does it take to do this job?**
- Degree or certificate in related field from a recognized post-secondary institution, such as, but not limited to Adult Education, Counselling/Psychology, Social or Human Services
- Experience facilitating workshops for groups of adults
- 2+ years’ of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated reliability shown in past positions/education
- Some post-secondary education and/or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered
- Basic skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Photoshop)
- Strong oral communication skills to be able to relay instructions
- Exposure and/or direct experience with health and safety and risk management practices as it relates to activities
- Previous experience working in the field of mental health
