**Job Summary**:
As the HR & Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our people strategy by supporting recruitment, employee training and development, and employee engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the President, you'll collaborate closely with SRG leadership to design, implement, and coordinate HR systems, processes, and policies that aligns with SRG’s commitment to employee development and exceptional service standards. You will work across all SRG brands to build a strong and engaged workforce.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supports the implementation of SRG’s HR systems, functions, strategies, planning and procedures.
- Oversee employee orientation ensuring seamless onboarding experiences.
- Manage SRG’s employee handbook, HR policies, and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
- Support performance management and employee development programs to foster growth and retention.
- Working closely with location leadership to design, implement, and manage employee operational training initiatives.
- Administer SRG’s compensation and benefits programs, including payroll support and WCB compliance.
- Facilitate employee engagement surveys and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and track employee certifications and mandatory training, such as ProServe, Food Safe, WHMIS and First Aid.
- Supporting Management with workplace conflict resolution.
**Qualifications**:
- HR certification (CPHR preferred) and 2+ years of HR experience, particularly in recruitment and training.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with a focus on building strong relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- A passion for contributing to a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Experience in the hospitality industry an asset.
- Knowledge of industry certifications, policies and procedures.
