**Technical Sales Representative**
Founded in 2001, Pro Cut is a locally owned and operated supplier of industrial supplies specializing in cutting tools and industrial related solutions. We take great pride in our high service standards and our knowledgeable staff who are able to offer practical and effective solutions to the industries we serve.
The **Technical Sales Representative (TSR)** reports directly to the senior management team and is responsible for the development, growth, and maintenance of customer relationships within their territory. Possessing a strong knowledge of metalworking technologies, the **TSR** will work closely with customers to find solutions to their manufacturing and industrial needs, lending technical advice and recommendations as needed and providing support when called upon to do so. The **TSR** will act as a liaison between the customer, the inside sales team, and suppliers in order to provide timely and effective service to the customer. The **TSR** will also work closely with the senior management team to develop and grow their territory, increasing sales and identifying potential new customers.
The **TSR** is an integral part of the Pro Cut Industrial Supply team and is required to assist as needed in office duties, lending assistance and guidance to Inside Sales and the Office Administrator as required.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendor representatives;
- Collaborate with customer and vendor representatives to find solutions to their manufacturing and industrial needs;
- Coordinate and support the Inside Sales team to ensure excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and profitability are maintained;
- Generate and follow up on quotes as required;
- Process incoming purchase orders and requisition products as required;
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and grow the territory;
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge and remain up-to-date with current manufacturing technologies and supplier product lines;
- Develop account strategies that aid in the growth of individual accounts;
- Share acquired market intelligence with the sales team
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Strong knowledge of various machining methods;
- Highly personable;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Organized with strong schedule management skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Willingness to travel daily to meet customers on-site and have a daily presence within the office;
- Ability to travel internationally as required for supplier-specific training;
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
**EXPERIENCE**:
- _Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a machine shop environment;_
- _Experience operating manufacturing equipment (lathe, mill, deep-hole drilling unit) considered an asset._
**EDUCATION**:
- Relevant trades certificate (Machinist, Millwright) or training an asset, but not required
**NOTE**:
Pay for this position is commission based. A base salary will be provided with commissions paid out monthly.
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
