**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
The Assistant Supervisor, Conservation Parks supports day-to-day oversight of TRCA’s variety of public-use conservation areas, campgrounds and recreational facilities. The position works closely with the Conservation Parks & Lands management team to contribute to the daily work schedules and operational plans, business plans, capital/infrastructure maintenance, and functional processes and procedures. This position supports the supervision of a team to effectively carryout day-to-day operations, programming, and maintenance.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Supports the Supervisor with day-to-day operations of large conservation parks and related facilities according to service standards.
- Performs site assessments and risk management activities; supports the development of rotational general maintenance plans for routine and preventative maintenance.
- Ensures that staff adheres to best practices in the safe handling, use and storage of hazardous materials and equipment. Ensure all SDS sheets are up-to-date and accessible.
- Supports external stakeholders with concerns/issues; referring to the Supervisor when issues escalate further.
- Supports the investigation of inquiries and complaints pertaining to facility operations.
- Supports coordination of public programs and events, working closely with corporate and community partners, project coordinators, and event planners to identify program/event specifications, support event logistics.
- Coordinates site-specific regulatory programs, special events and other related practices.
- Receives goods and services and initiates payment.

**What will you need to succeed**:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Heritage Conservation, Turf Management, or a related field
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license

Experience
- 3+ years of experience related to day-to-day park facility management and operations
- Demonstrated experience in resolving conflict related to staff and visitor experience

Knowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in park operations and management and related equipment operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated understanding of building systems, facility maintenance and landscape maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to solicit internal and external customer feedback in order to improve business relationships
- Influences decisions by presenting technical information and evidence in an appealing and easy to understand manner
- Collaborates with others to focus on objectives and effectively delegates work within a team
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, related Regulations and legislation
- Proficient in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint
