**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
Under the guidance of their Supervisor, a Coordinator, Community Learning is responsible for the coordination and delivery of community engagement programs and events related to energy and sustainability. In addition, Coordinator, Community Learning works with a variety of internal and external partners within their focus areas to ensure collaborative engagement, supporting common objectives.

The Coordinator, Community Learning will support the delivery of Partners in Project Green programming that aims to help businesses around Toronto Pearson capitalize on the social, environmental and financial benefits of carbon reduction initiatives. Primary responsibilities include supporting business and government leaders to implement energy conservation programs, monitor and report program performance, and support the execution of large-scale collective energy projects.

Partners in Project Green is a community of leaders advancing environmental action and economic prosperity across the GTA. Comprised of businesses, government, institutions and utilities, PPG works to collectively advance social and environmental sustainability through knowledge sharing, technology and infrastructure implementation, and network building. We help businesses lower operational costs while integrating environmental and social responsibility into their business models, and work in partnership with our municipalities to advance sustainability in the region as a whole.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Act as a point person for the coordination of programs and events and oversee logistics.
- Collaborate with external partners including different levels of government, businesses, industry groups, environmental not-for-profits, and academic institutions/ schoolboards to strategically plan programs and events.
- Track program and event expenditures within a fixed annual budget.
- Prepare text for marketing materials and coordinate distribution of promotional materials and social media.
- Regularly report program accomplishments and create a shared file to access the information. Reports are clearly written and form the basis for the variance reports prepared by Supervisors or Managers to our funding partners and senior staff.
- Keep an updated workplan and share with Supervisor and Manager on a quarterly basis.
- Completion of timesheets, professional calendar schedule, monthly reconciliation of corporate Visa and regular Employee Expense Claims.
- Use environmental, energy, and sustainability knowledge to deliver a variety of programs to engage a wide range of business participants in environmental initiatives.
- These programs include the Energy Leaders Consortium, GreenBiz Caledon, and other Partners in Project Green Programs as required.
- Communicate event details and provide support to participants where needed.
- Work in collaboration with Supervisor to develop and implement specialized funding projects.
- Collect, enter and evaluate data related to programs, events and clients from feedback forms.
- Work with other members of the Sustainable Communities team to enhance programs and share best practices.
- Under the guidance of their Supervisor, lead the development of new programs and actively seek new delivery partnership models.

**What will you need to succeed**:

- Post-secondary degree or equivalent in business, administration, communications, environmental studies, energy studies, climate change, or a related discipline; and
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2-3 years’ experience coordinating and delivering programs and events.
- Experience developing and leading energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects.
- Excellent organization skills (i.e. time management, budget tracking, scheduling, reporting, inventory).
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental, energy, and sustainability issues.
- Ability to work alone and in teams.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in all modes.
- Creating and delivering effective presentations.
- Relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Computer literate and familiar with
