Scarborough, Canada Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) Full time

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Assist in coordinating all festival related activities including logistics such as vendors, entertainment, displays, etc.
- Assist with community outreach and event marketing
- Prepare correspondence and make presentations in relation to the festival whenever required
- Use own creativity to market festival, seek new sponsors, corporations and other interest groups
- Support the organization of participants, preparation of programs and promotional materials and promotion of festival
- Assist in promoting events across all social media platforms

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- At least 2 years’ experience in working on events
- Excellent planning and organizational skills combined with good time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment and should be able to deliver results, even when required to work under tight deadlines and pressure
- Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of people such as donors, clients, vendors, suppliers, staff members and volunteers, etc
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Should possess good problem solving, creative and experimental skills with a positive attitude and energy
- Ability to solicit sponsorship and work with mínimal supervision
- Great team player skills and the ability to work on fast paced environment

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
