**Position Summary**

HomeEd is seeking a Project Manager to support HomeEd's growth. Reporting to the Vice President, Projects, the Project Manager works closely with HomeEd’s staff, external partners and stakeholders to manage our retrofit projects. The scope of the role will include every stage of the retrofit process from initial assessment to project completion, within budget and scheduled timelines. This full-time, regular position is located in Edmonton.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Project Planning and Execution_
- Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and budget requirements for retrofit projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and within budget constraints.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications
- Technical Expertise_
- Possess a strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and retrofitting technologies.
- Evaluate existing building structures and systems to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, sustainability enhancements, and safety upgrades.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and consultants to develop retrofit designs that meet performance objectives while complying with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stakeholder Management_
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders involved in retrofit projects, including clients, regulatory agencies, and internal departments.
- Communicate project status updates, milestones, and challenges effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address stakeholder concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance_
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that retrofit work meets established standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, drawings, change orders, and as-built records, to support compliance and future maintenance efforts.
- Budget and Cost Control_
- Develop project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates based on scope, resource requirements, and market conditions.
- Monitor project expenditures, track budget variances, and identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising project quality or timelines.
