The IT department currently has an opportunity for a

**HELP DESK TECHNICIAN**

FULL TIME

Non-Union| 70 Hours Bi-Weekly| Days Shift

As the IT Help Desk Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring smooth operations and resolving various hardware, software, and network related issues. Please note that this position is onsite and requires a physical presence at our location.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- PC Hardware and Software Upgrades: Oversee the upgrading of existing PC hardware and software upgrades to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Operating Systems Knowledge: Possess proficiency in both Windows and Mac operating systems to provide comprehensive technical assistance to users.
- Account Creations and Management: Facilitate new account creations in Microsoft Exchange, Meditech, and MS Active Directory.
- Ticketing: Utilize the Help Desk ticketing system to log and manage support requests, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and update hardware and software inventory ensuring accurate records of IT assets and licenses.
- System Imaging/Deployment: Image and deploy new computers to ensure standardized configurations and a smooth onboarding experience for new users.
- Training and Support: Deliver training to staff and users, assisting them in effectively utilizing technology resources.
- Audio-Visual: assist in A/V setup and support to facilitate meetings and presentations.
- Telecom and TV Support: Provide technical assistance for telecom and TV systems to ensure seamless communication and entertainment services.
- After-Hours Support: Participate in on-call rotation to provide technical support to hospital staff during business and after-hours, ensuring continuous system availability.

**Qualifications include but are not limited to**:

- Community College certificate/diploma in a computer related technology program.
- A+/Network+ Certifications to demonstrate your technical expertise would be an asset.
- Proven work experience as a Help Desk Support Specialist or in a similar customer-facing technical support role.
- Technical aptitude and knowledge of integrated audio-visual systems and computer equipment
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- A strong commitment to deliver exceptional customer service and ability to interact well with clients and staff.
- Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to address complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional customer service, technical skills, and analytical abilities
- Requirement to lift heavy equipment from time to time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
