The ECC Hiring Assistant is responsible for assisting the ECOMB Manager with the hiring and recruitment of Emergency Communications Officers (ECOs), ECC Supervisors and other ECC personnel, other administrative tasks as needed. Responsibilities of this position will include:

- Coordinating and schedule pre-hire testing and screening of ECOs, including technical testing, interviews, psychological screenings and other assessments as required.
- Coordinate recruitment activities related to the Emergency Communications Centre, including public presentations, advertising and providing accurate information.
- Other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in website development projects with proven web development skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Broad knowledge of police practices specifically related to ECOMB.
- Proven technical ability working with various computer software programs and databases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-initiative and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload in a demanding fast paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Experience in an Emergency Communication Center considered an asset.

- As part of your pre-hire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.

**Hours of Work**:
This position works 40 hours per week on a rotating shift work schedule including evenings and weekends within an office environment.

**Salary Range**:
21B, Salary Grade: 013, $25.76 - $32.30 (Hourly) $2,061.30 - $2,584.60 (Bi-Weekly), $53,799.41 - $67,459.10 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
