We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Claims Manager.
As a Claims Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the intake and processing of insurance claims for personal, property, or other losses, including WCB claims, disability claims, and motor vehicle claims. Reporting to the Vice President of Health Safety and Training, with a dotted line to the SVP Risk Management, you will also ensure efficient claim administration, maintain effective communications with various stakeholders, and collaborate with internal and external parties to facilitate timely resolution and return-to-work programs.

**What You Bring**:
- Minimum high school graduation or GED
- Certification in disability management is preferred
- High attention to detail, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and oral communication skills), including superior written literacy and presentation skills
- Strong with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access/Teams)
- High level of emotional intelligence to deal with all levels of personnel
- Knowledge of union and non-union environments
- Well-developed organizational planning and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Compensation Boards and Occupational Health & Safety standards as may be applicable across responsible provinces in Canada
- Knowledge of insurance and intake processes
- Demonstrated collaborative management style with a focus on team success
- Professional, diplomatic, and business effective demeanour
- Demonstrated strength in decision making
- Knowledge of applicable laws & regulations pertaining to industry requirements
- High integrity to sensitive and confidential information
**What You Do**:
- Administer multiple jurisdictional WCB claims including claim cost allocation, adjudication decisions and electronic records management
- Maintain effective communications with the Boards, health care professionals, Human Resources partners, internal stakeholders, and service providers, as required, to facilitate timely return to work programs
- Collaborate with workplace parties to resolve barriers to successful and sustainable accommodation and return to work plans
- Develop strong relationships with the EAO representatives, conducting thorough reviews of all claim files and initiate, where appropriate appeals and the reconsideration process to help mitigate claims costs
- Represent and participate where appropriate in hearings and appeals
- Report all new vehicle claims for all LOB’s of PWT directly to insurance company
- Manage reporting and collaboration with SVP of Risk Management on 3rd party injury claims from vehicle incidents
- Maintain communication between various location regarding updates on appraisals or claims management
- Participate in quarterly calls with Broker, Insurance company and other Stakeholders with the company
- Develop risk vs. cost models for senior executive leadership

**Remuneration**:
$80,000-90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
