**Your Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of marketing functions for every department across the Conservation Halton (CH) organization, with a key focus on Parks and Events portfolios.
- Create, plan, and execute marketing campaigns for all departments utilizing marketing knowledge and expertise to employ best tactics to achieve desired result
- Understand each department’s goals and priorities to ensure that each marketing plan for individual departments aligns with their priorities
- Manage advertising budgets, ad buys of various medium, create ad content, and coordinate ad creative for all business units across the organization
- Own website content management for Glen Eden, Conservation Halton Parks, and all Signature Events (updates, new content, back-end systems)
- Writing, scheduling, and posting of organic and paid social media channels (Glen Eden, Conservation Halton) including strategy development and following a social media calendar
- Contribute to public relations efforts by issuing media releases and being the onsite media contact for specific client groups (CH Parks, Glen Eden, and Events)
- Responsible for providing analytics on digital performance tools like Google Analytics, Later, and Meta/ Facebook to measure the results of tactics linked to products sales/performance and brand equity
- Consultant for departments on the development and communications of digital platforms, digital tools, and emerging trends (online reservation system, e-commerce)
- Understand our audience and anticipate issues, advising on marketing and communication strategies to address any issues that may arise
- Participate in tourism initiatives and meetings to help advance the promotion of the organization and support local tourism efforts

**Your Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in each of the following:

- Strong knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics (traditional and digital platforms)
- Adept and proven digital expertise - website UX, and social media platforms
- Prior role related to communications, marketing, public relations, and promotional efforts with a focus on digital marketing and community engagement
- Professional-level social media content and platform management
- Undergraduate Degree and/or post-graduate certificate in related field (Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital, Public Relations)
- Strong leadership and communication skills, experience working with clients/client service
- High level of fluency with various digital platforms and systems (social media, WordPress, Later, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, Environics, Park Pass, MS Forms and Jot Forms)
- Experience with customer retention and acquisition on a large scale (i.e., memberships)
- Knowledge of SEO and audience demographics
- Video editing/creating social media reels
- Strong visual eye for imagery
- Excellent writing and storytelling
- Knowledge and understanding of up to date and emerging trends in marketing
- Good understanding of analytics to assess campaign performance related to business results (which tactics drive sales or impact)
- High level of competence with software-based solutions across multiple operating systems
