**HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST**

The Human Resources Generalist will assist the Human Resources department with
Administration of all areas of the HR Department, acquiring new talent, and associate relations. The Human Resources Generalist will work in collaboration with the HR Team with the smooth and efficient running of the day to day functions of the HR Department for Wall Centre Hotels. Serves as a role model of team collaboration and ethos of Wall Centre Hotels. This position will comply with all HR Confidentiality practices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**ADMINSTRATION**
- Work in collaboration with the HR Department Director, HR Manager, HR Specialist and the Payroll Administrator to develop and maintain Associates database in Payworks and the maintenance of associate files in the HR Drive.
- Compliance with HR confidentiality practices
- Optimize the features of Payworks
- Travel to both Hotels and cover off 3 offices in rotation as required per week to cover off HR activities at both Hotels
- Manage the Locker tracking excel sheet, do locker room audits and control the lock inventory
- Prepare confirmation of employment letters when required
- Follow up on CTC training documents and scan and record in tracking sheet for new hires
- Respond to the daily inquiries of the Associates in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Assist with the preparation of Employee Agreements and all employment documents (when requested)
- file and record all worked on Employee agreements in HR Drive
- Assist with Associate inquiries
- Help with National Statistics report for Government of Canada when asked
- Work in collaboration with HR team to proactively develop improved systems for the HR Department
- Administration makes up 40% of the tasks of the position
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by HR Director.

**RECRUITMENT**
- Need experience in High Volume Recruitment
- Post Job Ads to Indeed, Go2HR, Linked In
- On Assigned positions -Conduct phone pre-screen interviews and keep track of prescreen notes, forward to the appropriate leaders

- Conduct reference checks when requested
- On Assigned positions
- responsible for all payroll documentation, vaccination information, and work permit information and follow up.
- Respond to all assigned hiring inquiries
- Consult with Leaders, HR Director and HR Generalist on the requirements of assigned positions,
- Collaborate in the efficient and timely recruiting of employees, following established policies and procedures.
- Welcome new associates 3 x per week with onboarding, prepare locker letters, pins, arrange with Housekeeping -uniforms, do the tour of the hotel
- change rooms and take associates to uniform fittings.
- Coordinate Internal transfers
- Prepare Update HR communication boards.
- Attend career fairs as required.
- Assist with Associate inquiries
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by HR Director.
- The recruitment activity takes approximately 40% the time of this position.

**HEALTH**:

- Assist with communication to Employees about their benefits - team up with payroll administrator to communicate to employees their benefits eligibility and assist with answering their questions
- Assist and work in collaboration to prepare WorkSafeBC-Form 7’s
- Ensure all associates needs are being met and staff are treated fairly

**SAFETY**:

- Rotate with HR Team on attendance to JOSH monthly meeting along with Life Safety Manager
- Assists with WorkSafe BC claims, completed and submitted in a timely manner. Communicates with Leaders and Associates accordingly to gather proper information.

**WALL CENTRE EVENTS**
- Promote, attend, and assist with the coordination of associate events.
