**Who we are**

TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first phase of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Millwoods to downtown Edmonton, the valley line allows commuters to go from the South East of Edmonton to anywhere the LRT stops.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Needs Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify learning and development needs across the organization.
- Program Design: Create engaging and effective learning materials and programs, including workshops, e-learning courses, and initiatives tailored to meet organizational and employee needs.
- Competence Management: Establish and maintain frameworks for assessing and managing employee competencies, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitation: Deliver training sessions and workshops to employees at all levels, utilizing various instructional methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department leaders to ensure learning initiatives are relevant and aligned with departmental objectives.
- Resource Management: Maintain and manage learning resources, including budgets, materials, and technology platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development, integrating innovative methods into programs.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on training activities, effectiveness, and employee progress to management.

**What you will bring to the team**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
- Project management: able to manage multiple actors & multiple projects
- Previous experience in a similar L&D role understanding the full L&D cycle in a similar industry would be an asset
- Experience of creating and delivering L&D strategy
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools.
- Ability to analyze training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
