You will be responsible for facilitating access to all aspects of the MacEwan University academic experience for students with disabilities. Drawing on professional expertise and judgment, including understanding of relevant legislation and institutional policy, you will identify reasonable accommodations and develop an Individual Service and Accommodation Plan. You will coordinate access to services and technologies for students with disabilities who experience barriers to full and equitable participation in their program, courses, and other post-secondary activities. In addition, you will support students and collaborate with members of the university community by sharing information about barriers to full participation (including the duty to accommodate) and universal design for learning (UDL) principles, to encourage the design and implementation of an accessible learning environment and will participate in initiatives to accomplish this goal.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve on department and University committees, participate in projects and initiatives that advance strategic goals, and engage in professional development activities.
- Graduate degree in Education, School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation, or related fields, including training and experience in psychological assessment methodologies;
- Experience working with adult learners with disabilities, including a working knowledge of relevant legislation, practice models, and assistive technologies;
- Experience in post-secondary education;
- Knowledge and experience providing meta-cognitive strategy instruction;
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; and
- Demonstrated experience in effective teamwork including collaboration, problem-solving and flexibility.
