**Position Summary**

The Coordinator of Chapel Worship is responsible to work with the Campus Pastor and Spiritual Life team to facilitate formative Christian worship at Chapel events. This is done by planning music and liturgy.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Facilitate meaningful Christian worship at chapel services by overseeing chapel music that is theologically appropriate.
- Nurture and engage the hearts, minds, and bodies of chapel worshipers in participative singing and prayer.
- Invite the Ambrose community to contribute their gifts and abilities by being involved in music teams, prayers, reading scripture, and preaching.
- Plan and equip student teams to lead worship that forms the community in faith through word and sacrament.
- Attend all Tuesday chapel services, unless otherwise arranged.
- Serve the chapel ministry in musical worship at scheduled services.
- Work closely with the Campus Pastor to plan and execute services.
- As instructed by the Campus Pastor, recruit and audition as necessary and schedule worship music teams for chapel and other events throughout the calendar year.
- Organize teams as needed (e.g., leaders, musicians, etc.).
- Coach and support other worship team leaders and their teams as needed. This may involve offering regular worship workshops and offering mentorship to team members.
- Meet regularly with the Campus Pastor and other team members and leaders (if applicable) to review and plan.

**Qualifications**
- Education and Experience_
- A high level of musical skills (vocal and instrumental) is required.
- Experience leading a worship music team is required.
- Experience identifying, recruiting, and developing team members for music and worship ministry is required.
- Skills_
- Organized with a high attention to detail.
- Able to problem-solve quickly and effectively.
- Strong decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
- Able to distill important information from multiple sources.
- Able to multitask and manage multiple priorities (e.g., projects, deadlines, etc.).
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lead a team with strong coaching and team building skills to foster, motivate, and support a community environment
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive matters.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Able to handle sensitive issues and difficult situations in a calm, tactful, and confidential manner.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate in a friendly, helpful, and service-oriented manner.

- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Willing and able to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Able to work outside normal operating hours during exams periods.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
