**Purpose**:St Paul’s Anglican Church is a Christ-centered parish, committed to meaningful, inclusive and multi-generational worship, prayerfulness, and spiritual growth. Many of our activities reflect our strong sense of family and community. Our Mission statement is “Opening Hearts and Minds to God’s Grace.” We are looking for a person to join our community as the office administrator to manage the activities required.

**Main responsibilities**

**Office Administration**
- Keep the Parish Members list up to date with changes and new members
- Manage the Janitor for all church cleaning activities including garbage, compost and recycling
- Manage all rental agreements once approved by the Parish Council
- Book and manage all appointment requests for Church Services and extra activities
- Manage St. Paul’s Church Social Media - Website, Facebook, Instagram & YouTube
- Manage any contract work requiring access to the church
- Manage Alarm system and access to the church
- Keep track of supplies and place orders where necessary
- Manage credit card for office Expenses
- Inform treasurer of any expenses incurred that are not standard
- Maintain a calendar of all scheduled events and activities
- Inform Clergy, Parish Council Members, Ministry leaders and Volunteers of activities impacting them and assist in preparation and distribution of schedules, signup sheets, & posters and other messaging.
- Prepare and submit yearly records to the Diocese of Calgary
- Manage and distribute any Diocese of Calgary requests to the responsible members for action.
- Manage any requests for use of the Historical St. Paul’s Chapel

**Worship Services**
- Prepare Order of Service for congregation and website and Leaders’ Order of Service for all services, review with Clergy anddesignated proofreader(s), and print copies of final Leaders’ Order of Service for Clergy, Sound Board Operator & Music Director
- Prepare Microsoft Power Point slides for all services, review with Clergy, Music Director and/or designated proofreader.
- Load and test slides for services.
- Prepare and print other readings or materials for services as needed such as baptismal certificates, funeral cards, etc.
- Prepare, print and post weekly Bulletin and monthly Newsletter “Living Waters”
- Coordinate requests for Baptism, Weddings and Funerals with Clergy, Music Director (as needed) & VolunteersUpdate social media regarding worship services and upcoming activities and events

**Education and experience required**:

- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Qualification in secretarial studies an advantage
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, leadership skills and time management
- Familiar with office management procedures
- Able to delegate requests to Clergy, Parish Council members and volunteers
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point & Word
- Preferred knowledge of Publisher
- Familiar with the Anglican Church Activities

**Working conditions**:

- Extended periods of time sitting and using a computer.
- Lifting up to 20lbs(9kg).

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Part time - 20 hours per week - 8.30am to 12.30 pm
- Hourly rate is $20-$25
- Tax, EI & CPP will be deducted monthly
- Payment will be made on the last day of the month via e-transfer
- Vacation 3 weeks

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
