**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Prepares journal entries for both day-to-day and month-end transactions.
- Performs bank and account reconciliations.
- Validates and processes monthly expense reports.
- Prepares monthly GST/PST reports.
- Submits government regulatory reports such as surveys to Statistics Canada
- Full accounting cycle of smaller scale related companies
- Assists in preparing reports to evaluate financial performance of the companies
- Assists in the month end close and year end close processes (preparation of summary schedules and associated backup)
- Ad Hoc analysis/tasks

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years work experience in the accounting field
- Understanding of principles of accounting.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Experience in working with ERP and automated accounting systems.
- Autonomous, methodical, and organized.
- Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and meet all internal timelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sense of initiative, teamwork, and excellent judgement.
- Strong capacity of analysis and problem solving.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Bilingualism in English & French, both written and spoken is required.

**Assets**
- Knowledge of Quickbooks
- Knowledge of JD Edwards

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $31,385.07-$67,291.52 per year
