**The Opportunity**
Our team is seeking an organized and creative Marketing Coordinator with a strong service-orientated mindset The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in executing marketing strategies to promote and sell our products within the horticulture industry. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, openness to constructive feedback, attention to detail/getting tasks done, a practical/analytical mind, and a passion for sharing marketing, sales & learning with others

DeVry Greenhouses is a wholesale supplier of bedding plants and nursery trees. **Responsibilities**
- _**Design Support**_: Assist in designing tags, pot designs, point-of-purchase (POP) materials, tray talkers, and other selling materials.
- **Sales Assistance**: Support sales team in managing accounts, confirming orders, and optimizing sales processes. This is not a marketing only role. Helping with accounts and sales will be a core responsibility in this role.
- _**Photography Support**:_ Aid in product photography, editing, and categorization for marketing purposes.
- _**Product Development**:_ Assist in the development of new products, varieties and trials. Value engineering our products to also work from a business/efficiency/practicality perspective.
- _**Brand Activation**:_ Bring the DeVry brand to life with our DeVry Inspire Newsletter, website, social media pages and helping to plan/execute company events. Key focus on growing our in-house brands (Lett’uce Garden, Garden Starters, Bee-Happy, etc)
- _**Market Research**:_ Conduct market research, especially focused on e-commerce and consumer habits, to inform marketing strategies. Recap market intelligence/competition checks.
- _**E-Commerce**_: Take the lead on e-commerce initiatives and development.
- _**Preparation and Recap**:_ Prepare reports & quotes. Participate in recap meetings/presentations.
- _**Profitability Analysis**_: Collaborate with the business analyst to analyze and improve profitability of product lines, and setup streamlined costing.
- _**Customer Relations**:_ Manage new customer packages, year-end gifts, and sample leads to enhance customer relationships.
- _**Merchandising Support**:_ Aid with merchandising at stores, and helping to research how to best present our products to consumers at retail level.
- _**Help Where Help is Needed**:_ Helping with event planning function, bridging the sales and data team, and interdepartmental aid during seasonal periods.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing and digital design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Confident to help galvanize ideas with others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, and able to take constructive feedback and learn.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop), Canva and MS Office.
- Photography and Videography skills is an asset.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (Metricool/Hootsuite/Google Analytics/etc).
- Familiarity with WordPress.
**Compensation**
- Wage will be determined by your expertise and experience. Starting at $25/hr.
