As a member of Communications and Engagement Division (CED) management team, the Manager is responsible to lead the Access and Disclosure team. This team oversees administration of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act on behalf of the departments of Finance, Consumer Protection and Government Services, Executive Council and the Public Service Commission. The Manager is the key contact in working with program areas to ensure the Access and Disclosure team can effectively manage the access to information process and provide advice and guidance on the protection of personal information and proactive disclosure of public information. Within the Operations Branch of CED, the team works closely with the rest of the division to ensure appropriate administrative processes and procedures are reflected in the work of the division.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary education in administration or a related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience building effective working relationships, consulting and negotiating with stakeholders
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate and work with a team to accomplish project goals
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings and clearly present complex issues to a variety of audiences
- Strong political acumen with the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive materials and situations in an appropriate manner
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills demonstrating sound judgement

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Access and Disclosure's key responsibilities are to;
- Provide advice and support to the Director of Operations and Assistant Deputy Minister in coordinating a whole of government and legislatively sound approach within the centralized Access and Privacy team;
- Taking responsibility of all Human Resource requirements which includes but not limited to;
- Onboarding/off boarding for all staffing levels within the team, performance management and staff learning and development;
- Build a respectful and inclusive workplace culture;
- Establish collaborative working relationships with key partners in government, internal and external stakeholders;
- Oversee all service delivery effectiveness and compliance with legislative requirements
