**About this opportunity**:
At Ericsson, we are investing heavily in the future radio access technologies where groundbreaking development is key. To continue the journey, we are now looking for a passionate section leader to grow and lead a results-oriented diverse team with a mix of junior and senior algorithm developers delivering into the system on chip projects and exploring new algorithm concepts.
As a section leader, you are expected to coach, empower, challenge and develop individuals and teams as well as to foster an innovative and learning culture. You are also responsible for defining and implementing strategies based on the overall goals and strategies of the Department and Ericsson as well as ensuring right scope, quality, time and cost for our projects.
**What you will do**:
- Be developing and coaching a highly skilled team delivering radio algorithm solutions for areas linearization, antenna calibration, beamforming, crest factor reduction etc.
- Support with way of working, competence development, infrastructure, project interfaces etc. to enable the team to perform at their best
- Inspire and encourage innovations within domain and be able to communicate relevant product, system on chip and technology roadmaps
- Be responsible for the quality, time plans and cost of the team's projects in different areas
- Work proactively and continuously to improve ways of working and operational efficiency within the domains which the team and department is active in
- Drive strategies and change programs as part of the Algorithm leadership team
**The skills you bring**:
- Technical education at university level (M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics) or similar
- Experience of early concept development as well as product oriented projects
- Good track record of recruiting top talent
- Proven leadership skills and experience from working as project manager or similar in R&D organizations
- Track record of ability to formulate and drive strategies, change programs and continuous improvements
- Good understanding of radio algorithms, radio and/or digital design
- Excellent communication skills as well as teambuilding, mentoring and cooperation skills
