The Ministry of Housing was formed in December 2022 to focus on the creation of attainable and affordable housing for people in British Columbia.

Housing Policy Branch is responsible for market & non-market housing policy & legislation, including administering the Strata Property Act and Strata Property Regulation. HBP also works on housing policy issues related to cooperative housing, long-term leaseholds, crown land leases, and other housing. HPB works closely with strata and government stakeholders, conducts research, develops policy options, and provides advice to government on a wide range of issues to support both owners and renters.

**Job Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, social sciences, economics, political science, geography, land use planning or related field, and two (2) years *related experience.- Related experience must include all of the following:

- Experience in the development of public policy, legislation and / or regulations
- Experience conducting research.
- Experience developing briefing materials for senior officials. Experience establishing, building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.Preference may be given to individuals with:
