This is a newly created position with the mission of working with our dynamic Finance & Operations Team to deliver comprehensive administrative and accounting support related to our investment funds. We are excited for you to bring your skills and experience to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitation of our fund operations, fund accounting and related compliance activities.

Tasks, Role & Responsibilities:

- Fund Accounting:

- Maintaining accurate records of fund transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers.
- Pool fund validations.
- Maintain records of pending and completed trade corrections and associated dilutions.
- Preparing and distributing related reports and statements.
- Fund Operations:

- Supporting the fund administratively in day-to-day operations.
- Coordinating with custodians, brokers, and other service providers.
- Assisting with fund audits and regulatory reviews.
- Maintaining fund documentation and records.
- Provide timely information to assist with decision making and implementing improvement for daily operations.
- Develop financial models and analysis as required.
- Compliance:

- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and laws.
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitoring fund activities for compliance risks.
- Special Projects:

- Special project work as well as other duties from time to time as this role evolves.

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Post secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) would be an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience in fund administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of investment funds and financial markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with savviness in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy without compromising the ability to meet deadlines.
- Friendly and positive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative, can work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Capacity to evaluate and reengineer processes to gain efficiencies

Educational Requirement:
Post-secondary education in an accounting capacity, or related discipline is desired.
