**Do you LOVE accounts payable and leading a team - if so, this might be the position you are looking for**

Leading a team of accounts payable who handle reconciliation, data entry and cash flow as primary responsibilities. You will work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and other finance team members to ensure all accounts payable responsibilities are done in a timely fashion meeting quite often, tight deadlines, working through a pile of invoices and feeling that sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. We are a fast-paced busy office that outputs over 500 AP/AR invoices daily with our team of exceptional, outstanding finance employees

**Here is a snapshot of what you would do on a daily basis**:

- Manage the daily workflow, including supervising a team of people, fostering healthy communication amongst the team and with other members of the organization.
- Lead the Accounts Payable team in prioritize incoming supplier invoices and invoice them to A/R customers, meeting month end deadlines
- Correspond with external vendors as inquiries come in, problem solve issues and delegate to other team members or bring to the attention of the Accounts Payable Manager as needed.
- Ensuring company expense invoices (utility, freight, staff expense reports, etc.) are being accurately coded to the GL and assist with data entry of these into accounting software as needed for on time payment.
- Lead the process of all cheque/EFT runs
- Assist with weekly SRP (Short Range Plan) and help allocate funds appropriately.
- Manage and process EDI invoices from multiple suppliers, trouble shoot issues and facilitate with suppliers and our external 3rd party technical support team as needed.
- Prepare weekly and monthly excel spreadsheets for invoicing and/or payables
- Reconcile Supplier and Expense Statements, investigating and solve discrepancies as needed
- Reconcile monthly credit card statement
- Assist AP Manager with ongoing development of A/P Team and AP processes
- Other related duties as required or assigned.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- 5+ years’ experience in high volume/fast paced finance/accounts payable experience.
- Previous experience in a supervisory/team lead role is preferred
- Ability to handle pressure and deadlines and be comfortable with change
