As our new Director of Business Development - Benefits and Defined Contribution Retirement Solutions, you will play a critical role at TELUS Health in growing sales funnel within our Retirement & Benefits Solutions practice and helping to achieve overall sales targets.

You will act as a business developer to generate new sales opportunities with new potential clients that you and the team identifies and develop an approach to maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities. You will collaborate with internal teams for lead generation, RFPs, and finalist presentations, and maintain a network by approaching potential clients, search consultants, as well as participating in professional association and industry networking events.

What you will do:

- Act as a business developer to generate new sales opportunities with new potential clients that you and the team identify as well as developing an approach to maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Prepares a sales plan and strategy for Canadian Benefits Administration & Defined Contribution Retirement Administration Commercial Outsourcing sales
- Participates directly in business development opportunities, including client pursuits, RFPs, finalist presentations
- Identifies staff and tools needed to deliver on the sales plan
- Actively participates in interactions with search consultants to insure we are considered as a Top Tier provider and receive our fair share of RFPs
- Accountable and compensated based on success vs specific annual sales targets established jointly with management
- Adjusts proactively the plan if targets are not achieved so as to get back on track

What you have:

- The industry expertise. You have 7 - 10 years of strategic commercial sales experience, with additional progressive experience in multiple facets (e.g., operations, implementation, client management)
