Assistant Front Office Manager

**The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls is seeking passionate, and enthusiast individual who is looking to make a career in the hospitality industry.**
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Communicates with guests ensuring that issues are being resolved during the stay, and maintain a reporting system that allows proactive resolution to common issues.
- Contributing member of the Guest Service team, overseeing the effectiveness of the overall guest experience, employee performance & development and service enhancements for the overall Front Office department.
- Ensure that all cash handing polices are followed and reports are accurately printed and ensure all staff are following the day-to-day shift requirements set forth by the company.
- Communicate hotel and room deficiencies to appropriate department for repairs and resolution.
- Adhering to Hotel and Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with guests ensuring that issues are being resolved during the stay
- Coaches and mentor’s colleagues; creates an environment that allows colleagues to exceed guest expectations and provide a path for career development
- Adhering to Hotel and Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as required
**Experience, Skills, and Requirements**:
- A minimum of 2 years management experience, hotel management an asset.
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically fit to endure lifting, stretching, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs.
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts.
- Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check to the hotel’s satisfaction.
Onboarding Requirement:
- Required to provide a certificate proving completion of the Health and Safety Awareness Training for Supervisors (e-course provided by the Ministry of Labour)
