**Office Manager - Finance Lead**

**Posting Description**:
Reporting to the President-CEO & Shareholders, the Office Manager has overall financial responsibility, and supports other critical functions, including Purchasing & Logistics. Working closely with the Director of Operations, the Office Manager will monitor project performance and liaise with customer and vendors in respect to milestone payments and equipment transport. With support from various staff, the Office Manager ensures all aspects of accounting, banking, payroll and financial reporting are completed on time and to a high standard of quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare monthly financial statements and management report, including comparison of results to annual budget and forecast.
- Perform bi-weekly payroll, including review of hourly timesheets and calculation/remittance of payroll taxes and benefits.
- Oversee the process of purchase order issuance, receiving of goods and the entry of invoices payable and process related payments by cheque, wire, or eft as applicable.
- Review and challenge project forecasts prepared by project managers used in connection to revenue recognition on percentage completion basis.
- Prepare and submit invoices to customers and follow up on overdue payments.
- Monitor business cash flow and bank balances, ensuring all payment obligations are satisfied and foreign currency risk exposure is minimized.
- Coordinate cross border shipments and staff assignments to ensure compliance with import/export, immigration, duties and taxes.
- In consultation with leadership and operations team, review and improve company policies and procedures, including the implementation of new software as required.
- Assists in Human Resources management function, with respect to benefit programs, hours of work policy, ensuring compliance with all relevant labour laws and reporting requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma or University Degree in business.
- Minimum 5 years finance/accounting experience, preferably in a project-based multi-national environment
- Experience in financial system implementation or conversion, familiarity with ERP systems is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic/informal environment typical of small companies; willing to take on tasks outside of normal day to day responsibility.
- Demonstrated analytical ability to enable sound reporting, identify and understand trends and lead improvements
- Demonstrated personal code of ethics and ability to work in a confidential manner

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
