As the Anti-Racism Strategic Advisor, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Anti-Racism Program Team, working closely with the Anti-Racism Action Committee and the Calgary Police Service (CPS) Executive Leadership team to deliver on the priorities outlined in the Calgary Police Service Anti-Racism, Equity & Inclusion program and the Calgary Police Service Anti-Racism Strategic Roadmap. Primary Duties include:

Collaborate with other municipalities in Canada and other organizations within Calgary on anti-racism related work, sharing leading practices and lessons learned.
Develop and maintain anti-racism program management systems including the development of program and project charters and required project management and reporting systems.
Work with senior leadership to review internal practices and policies. Lead and facilitate anti-racism program/project chartering sessions with key stakeholders including the Anti-Racism Program Team, the Anti-Racism Action Committee, Calgary Police Commission, CPS senior leaders and community stakeholders.
Support the development of strategies and actions required to address racism and discrimination.
- **Qualifications**
***A related Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience that includes municipal leadership, strategic program development, coalition building, systemic and organizational change; OR
- A related Master’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience in areas such as anti-racism, human rights, diversity & inclusion, strategic program development or organizational change is required.
- High level of trust and reliability to support the fast-paced, high profile, and politically sensitive program activities is required.
- Lived experience as a member of an underrepresented community or experience working with and as an ally for persons from an underrepresented community will be considered an asset.
- Experience with qualitative research will also be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated competencies in strategic and analytical thinking, coaching and development, excellent communication, efficiency and thoroughness, focus on results, and relationship building skills.

**Pre-employment Requirements**An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.

-Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $42.09 - 56.27 per hour (2023 Rates)
-Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
-work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
-Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
