**Overview / General Purpose**:
The Human Resources Generalist role will provide front line end-to end HR services for team members across Canada. Provides strategic consultation, coaching, and support for HR programs such as talent recruitment, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement and experience, conflict management, ED&I (equity, diversity & inclusion), and front-line employee relations.

Organizational Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced individual to join the Human Resources team on a full-time, permanent basis. The incumbent will perform a variety of HR functions that support company growth. The HR Generalist will be responsible for recruitment, compliance, benefit and policy administration, performance management, and employee relations. They will act as a company culture and employee experience champion.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Talent acquisition (40% during peak time)**
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions from recruiting plan through to offer stage. Additional stages include pre-screening, short-listing, scheduling, conducting interviews, reference, criminal and credit checks
- Work with department leads to develop recruitment strategy to source top talent with diverse backgrounds for open positions within the company allotted budgets (direct sourcing, referral, networking, LinkedIn, career fairs, etc.)
- Participate in the ongoing enhancement and development of innovative and cost-effective talent sourcing strategies
- Lead new hire orientation to ensure successful on-boarding of all new hires and assist hiring managers, when and where appropriate

**HR Advisory - Employee Relations, Talent Development, Employee Retention (30%)**
- Handle general employee relations issues or concerns, providing advice to managers and employees, under the guidance of the CEO
- Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders on their interpretation and execution of HR policies and programs such as career mapping, performance management, and change management
- Manage terminations and resignation process by conducting exit interviews, and ensuring all paperwork is complete for off-boarding.
- Maintain and assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and communications
- Stay current and up to date on HR legislation and best practices to ensure compliance
- Maintain the HR HRIS (Humi) and look into opportunities to enhance the platform
- Assist in employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle
- Research HR best practices in the development of initiatives, programs, and policies
- Work closely with learning and development on employee onboarding experience
- Act as the companies Privacy Officer and perform Privacy Investigations, if required
- Co-ordinate disability and leave return to work plans.

**HR Reporting and HR Management Systems (15%)**
- Leverage HR systems to retrieve data for various reporting needs
- Maintain and update employee files as required in Humi
- Produce HR Metrics to fine tune HR strategy, as required
- Provide reports on head counts, wage statistics, and other ad hoc reports when required from time to time
- Design and develop spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support HR projects

**HR Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll (10%)**
- Manage and socialize current employee benefits and total awards program
- Support finance with payroll needs
- Ensure HRIS system benefits and enrollments are up to date and accurate across Canada
- Audit HR systems to ensure information accuracy and consistency across all systems
- Ensure compliance with National HR programs in accordance with the various ESA/CNESST requirements
- Auditing reports and data for interface and payroll system.
- Manage compensation programs in consultation with the CFO and CEO.

**Committees - Health and Safety and Other (5%)**
- Act as a member of the Health & Safety Committee
- Educate employees on Workplace Health & Safety Legislation and ensure compliance
- Ensure all employees have completed all mandatory health and safety training
- Participate in the social committee and assist in organizing social activities
- Maintain the company committee list
- Participate in annual brainstorming activities
- Participate in the rewards and recognition committee including the creating opportunities for employee recognition

**Required Competencies**:

- Relevant Education or Continuing Education in Education and Organizational Development
- Degree in Human Resources and CHRL designation an asset
- Excellent attention to details
- Bilingual in French and English preferred
- Critical thinking skills, analytical reasoning, problem solving skills
- High sense of urgency and prioritization skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
