We're seeking to hire a qualified a Human Resources Generalist to work at our Burlington office from Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager.

This role facilitates the recruitment process, maintains employee records, assists with payroll processing and provides administrative HR support to all departments across Canada.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Review and update job descriptions and interview questions
  • Liaise with management regarding new hires
  • Maintain and update HR files including efiles and data maintained within HRIS system
  • Ensure companywide timeoff data are up to date and accurate
  • Assist with payroll and acts as backup as necessary
  • Provide administrative HR support to employees across Canada
  • Coordinate the planning and organizing of company social committee
  • Schedule necessary training and maintain training records
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, performance management, performance reviews, employee recognition programs, and the health and safety program
  • Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations
  • Assist managers with performance management and performance reviews
  • Support the HR manager with all HR functions as required
  • Remain up to date on all relevant industry related legislation, best practices, and trends
  • Other duties as assigned/required

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Familiar with recruitment best practices
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar Payroll/HRIS system
  • Experience in a multiprovincial environment an asset
  • Up to date on all relevant employment legislation
  • Great attitude, work ethic, and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of MS Outlook, Work, Excel and Power Point
  • Organized, detail oriented, with excellent time management skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Human resources related degree or diploma
  • CHRP preferred

1-3 years progressive HR experience

  • 2+ years related experience in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Chrome and Windows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
